Garden of the Gods by James David

Joseph Alessi is an American trombonist and teacher. He is an internationally acclaimed musician who has been the Principal Trombonist of the New York Philharmonic since 1985. He has been a featured soloist with numerous orchestras and has been invited to perform as a recitalist and clinician throughout the world. Alessi’s discography includes recordings with the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. He has also been a featured soloist on the Grammy Award-winning recordings of Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Copland’s Appalachian Spring. He is a recipient of the prestigious Leonard Falcone International Trombone Competition prize and has served as a faculty member at The Juilliard School in New York City since 1990.
