Beethoven: Für Elise

Beethoven wrote this piece, one of his most famous, in the form ABACA. If you listen closely, you will hear the first section be repeated two more times during the piece. See if you can identify all of the sections.

No one during Beethoven’s lifetime heard Für Elise unless he played it for them himself. The piece was not published until 1867.

Lang Lang is one of the most famous concert pianists alive today. Listen closely to how smoothly he plays the scale-like passages in this piece.
