Sergei Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 2

Sergei Rachmaninoff, a Russian composer, wrote his second piano concerto over a ten month period beginning in 1900. This piano concerto is considered to be one of the greatest piano concertos ever written.

In this recording, Georgian born French pianist Khatia Buniatishvili performs all three movements in a concert held in Aix-en-Provence, France. She performs with a strong sense of emotion.
